Today is your departure day from the USA
Arrival day Naples Capodichino Airport and are met by our personal tour assistant who will accompany us by private transfer from the airport to our hotel in Amalfi, our host city. After we are settled in our rooms, we enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure, or for those who wish, our assistant will be available for a leisurely walking tour of the narrow streets of Amalfi. In the evening, we enjoy a welcome drink and dinner on the panoramic sea view terrace of our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
This morning after breakfast, we embark on a tour of the lemon groves, unique to the Amalfi coast, referred to as the “gold” of Amalfi. We stroll among the lemon trees before we enjoy our Pizza making class and tasting. We then savor the limoncello made from these special sweet lemons. We return to our hotel for some free time before we head to Positano. We stroll down the narrow and colorful streets that wind down to the sea. Here we enjoy our dinner in a restaurant with an amazing sea view. Our evening will end with a private boat cruise along the coast back to Amalfi. Overnight at our hotel.
Today after breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Caserta to visit the Royal Palace. This famous Palace was built at the request of Carlo III di Borbone “Re delle Due Sicilie”. He wanted a Palace that would surpass the beauty of the palace at Versailles. This palace was realized thanks to the skills of the best architects and artists of the era, including Luigi Vanvitelli. Our lunch this afternoon is at the Feudi di San Gregorio winery. We visit their cellars and enjoy a light lunch with the wine tasting. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast this morning, we enjoy a full day excursion to Capri by private boat to reach the island. Our first stop will be “La Piazzetta,” the main square in Capri. We visit Anacapri and enjoy the beautiful views. After some free time to explore on our own to shop, or perhaps enjoy a gelato or an espresso, we board a sailboat for our unique dinner at sea. We delight in Mediterranean dishes while gazing at the coast of Capri. After dinner we rejoin our private boat to return to Amalfi. Overnight at our hotel.
This morning after breakfast, we enjoy some leisure time to explore Amalfi on our own before we depart for the Cantina del Vesuvio winery. It is here, in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius, that the “Lacryma di Christo”(Tears of Christ) wine is produced. We visit the cellars and enjoy a wine tasting. We continue with a unique cooking class experience and learn how to cook some traditional Neapolitan dishes under the supervision of our host. After learning some of the secrets of Neapolitan cuisine, we enjoy dinner with all the dishes we have prepared in our cooking class. Some time to relax, before we experience a unique and unforgettable visit to the Pompeii excavations by night. Return to our hotel for overnight.
After breakfast we drive to Paestum. This ancient Greek city, a UNESCO world heritage site, is where we visit the best preserved of the Greek temples before continuing to the Tenuta Vannulo, a family operated biological farm, where they raise buffalos and produce the famous “Mozzarella di Bufala”. After a visit to the farm, we taste the famous mozzarella . Our next stop is the Agriturismo Porta Sirena, a perfect combination of elegance and tradition. The Agriturismo prepares typical farm to table cuisine using “Kilometers 0” products. We return to our hotel for some free time before our evening concert in Ravello. After the concert we return to our hotel for overnight.
This morning after breakfast, we depart for Naples. Our first stop will be a guided tour of Cappella San Severo, where we admire the famous Veiled Christ (“Cristo Velato”), considered one of the world's most remarkable sculptures. Our next stop will be at the Gambrinus Café, the oldest café in the city for an espresso or a sfogliatella. The walking tour continues continue for a visit of Galleria Umberto I, Piazza del Plebiscito, via Caracciolo, ending at Castel dell ’Ovo, where our bus will meet us and take us to the E. Marinella laboratory. E. Marinella is a world renowned Italian necktie company founded by Eugenio Marinella in 1914. After our visit, we return to our hotel to relax before we venture out for our farewell dinner at the Torre Normanna restaurant situated on the splendid terrace overlooking the sea, savoring our final enchanting view of the Amalfi coast. Return to our hotel for overnight.
Today is your travel day back to the USA. We leave this spectacular part of the world with memories to last a lifetime.
