Trip Details

Today, we depart Tampa or our home airport for our connecting flight to Prague. We will be served complimentary beverages, in-flight movies, dinner and breakfast aloft.
This morning, we arrive in Prague. We board our motorcoach and enjoy a delightful orientation tour of the city including, if possible, celebration of Mass. Later, we check into our hotel for dinner and overnight and the balance of the day is at leisure.
After breakfast, we begin our tour of Prague at Castle Hill and visit St. Vitus Cathedral, Wladislav Hall and Golden Lane. We visit the famous Infant Jesus of Prague at the Church of Our Lady of Victory, where we celebrate Mass. Our afternoon tour of Prague will include the Old Town with Astronomical clock and Charles Bridge. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we depart Prague and enter Poland. In Wadowice, we celebrate Mass in the parish church where the Holy Father was baptized and afterwards, we visit the museum in his small family home. We continue to Krakow and our hotel for dinner and overnight.
This morning we celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Florian, where Saint John Paul II served as a curate, and where he lived while university chaplain. Afterwards, we meet our guide and begin our sightseeing tour. Our first stop is the courtyard of 16th century Royal Castle, and Wawel Cathedral, where generations of Polish Kings are buried. We enjoy a walking tour of Old Town, visiting some of the treasures of this wonderful old city. We view the Town Hall Tower and the Cloth Hall, located on the same site since the 15th century Collegium Maius in the oldest university area and St. Mary's Church. Here we enjoy the ancient tradition of the "Hejnal" or bugle call from the Tower, which warned residents of the coming of an enemy. We enjoy some free time for lunch and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. We return dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Today, we visit the newly built Basilica of the Divine Mercy, the home of St. Sister Faustina. We celebrate Mass here. We see the convent and visit with the Sisters. After lunch on our own, we drive to the Wieliczka Salt Mines. We tour the chapels and chambers cut out of salt in Europe’s oldest and longest salt mine, we return to Krakow for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we board our motor coach for our ride to Czestochowa and proceed to the monastery complex of Jasna Gora to visit the Marian Shrine. En route we pass by the Kalwaria Zebrzydowska Benedictine Monastery where the Holy Father often prayed and walked the Stations of the Cross. Jasna Gora consists of a Gothic/Baroque church, a Baroque monastery, and a fortress. This is where the miraculous picture of Our Lady of Czestochowa (Black Madonna) has been preserved. We tour this shrine and celebrate Mass. There will be time for private devotion and walk around the town. We return to Krakow for dinner and overnight.
Today, following Mass near our hotel, we depart Krakow and soon cross the border into Slovakia, by way of Banska Bystrica and crossing the Lower Tatra Mountains. We reach the border and enter Hungary and lovely Budapest, where we proceed to our hotel for dinner and overnight. This evening, we enjoy a boat ride on the Danube. The commentary will include the history of the city’s most important buildings situated along the river.
This morning we drive to the Royal castle in Buda, where we visit Fishermen's Bastion and the beautiful Gothic St. Matthias Church. Afterwards we continue to the Citadel, where we enjoy the best view over the Danube and the lower city of Pest. Later, we cross the Elizabeth Bridge to the Market Hall and the pedestrian center, where we have free time for lunch on our own. In the afternoon, drive through the City Park to Hero's Square, then past the Opera and Parliament. We conclude our day with a visit and Mass at St. Stephen's Basilica. This evening, we enjoy a special dinner at the Gypsy Tavern with folkloric entertainment.
This morning, we travel to the famous Danube Bend for some shopping and exploration of the village of Szentendre along the Danube Valley, well known for its artists and artisans. We continue to Györ, where the Irish Madonna attracts many Pilgrims. We celebrate Mass here, the continue through the Burgenland and enter the foothills of the Alps, and Vienna, for dinner and overnight.
Morning city tour. By bus we pass the Prater and arrive in Vienna's famous Ringstrasse. We pass the Opera, Charles church, Parliament, and City Hall. After this first impression we join our guide for a walk through the Hofburg, winter residence of the Hapsburg Emperors. The morning tour concludes with a stop at the Hundertwasser house with its colorful facades and golden onion towers. This afternoon is free for individual exploration, shopping, or perhaps a visit to the Palace of Schönbrunn, the Hapsburg summer residence. This evening, you may choose to enjoy an optional concert. This morning, we transfer to the airport in Vienna for our return flight to the U.S. where we arrive later today with memories of a lifetime.
